Corporate culture and climate surveys

Human capital is a factor of strategic importance for the success of every company, since it sets the basis for the development of core competencies, which cannot be copied by competition such as:

  • corporate culture and
  • corporate climate.

The effective management of those intangible assets determines the degree of the employee’s empowerment, commitment and motivation, and, consequently, the overall success of the company.

Effective management can be achieved through the analysis, the elaboration, and the ongoing monitoring of:

  • The continuous improvement and alignment with the vision
  • The corporate strategy
  • The corporate goals
  • The characteristics of the environment

We conduct surveys aiming to:

  • identify the development opportunities of the corporate climate, and
  • elaborate the corporate culture in such a way that all employees will be satisfied and all business goals will be achieved.

RESEARCH OBJECTIVES
In more detail, the objectives, of conducting a culture or climate survey, are to:

  • Identify possible weaknesses of the corporate climate (weaknesses that apply either to the whole of the organization or to specific departments/divisions).
  • Define the areas of the corporate culture that need improvement or adjustments, in order to reassure that the behaviours necessary to accomplish corporate goals are available.
  • Identify the improvement needs of the Human Resources Systems.
  • Define the areas that managers, of every hierarchical level, need to improve.
  • Identify training needs in the development of competencies, such as leadership, teamwork, customer service, communication, etc.
  • Enhance the employee’s feeling of participation.
  • Display management’s active interest in employees’ opinions by encouraging a ‘bottom to top’ communication.
  • Provide top management with useful information for future plans and changes.
  • Monitor the evolution of the corporate culture and climate.
  • Make comparisons with other companies (benchmarking).
