Managing Styles in Conflict offers invaluable insights into how to communicate more effectively with business people of varying Social Styles when stress is high and people are in “back – up behaviour”. Managing Styles in Conflict is a practical, one – day, facilitator –led leadership effectiveness program. By participating in a variety of activities, learners gain an understanding and acceptance of others’ Social Styles. Participants explore various Social Style back – up behaviours and discover how to better manage tension in the workplace to achieve improved interpersonal relationships.
The program examines various concepts associated with Social Styles in conflict, then provides specific skills and tools for improving professional relationships. Learners develop skills for:
- Understanding the effects of relationship tension on behaviour.
- Adapting their own behaviour to make others feel more comfortable with interpersonal communications.
- Selecting and using appropriate strategies for reducing relationship tension, thereby improving interpersonal relationships, work unit/ team performance, and workplace communication.
- Including the perspectives and contributions of all team members in productive working relationships tat lead to effective solutions.
- Addressing the interpersonal difficulties inherent to making the transition from employee to manager.
